About this program
What it looks like
SIVF shows up where veterans and their families already are: farmers markets, town festivals, and community gatherings across Southern Illinois. We also host our own — block parties, cookouts, and speaking engagements.
These events double as outreach. A veteran who isn't ready to ask for help will still stop by a tent for a hot dog and a handshake. That conversation is often the first step toward connection — and that's the whole point.
